Beauty/Life: I Trimmed My Hair

12:00:00 AM Arianne 12 Comments

First of all, hello! I've been feeling quite off this week, so it was a bit of a struggle writing a post. So, what's been going on?

Well, I took a lot of selfies on Wednesday when I was at a stoplight. I just really liked my makeup and thought I'd capture it in photos. I found that I really love the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. However, cleaning it might be a whole nightmare on its own. I will do a full review soon.

Later on Wednesday, I went to Supercuts and got a trim. I asked the stylist to take three inches off of my hair and make sure the layers and my bangs look healthy. She was knowledgeable and had good advice. I was happy about that. Now, my hair feels lighter and healthy.

So, how's your week been? Anything interesting happen?

  3. Love the cut, it's always nice to get a trim and feel fresh again! I am considering it but guess I'm gonna stir away from the idea of doing anything crazy with my hair, after spending so much time growing it back. By the way, the RT sponge is good for the price, and it is indeed a nightmare to get clean it. Mine fell into bits while I was cleaning it and it was gross to see all that clogged up makeup inside despite cleaning it every week.

    1. you can just get a few inches trim and see how you feel about it. Sometimes I want short hair, too, but I do remember the time it took to grow it out and I always get frustrated when I'm in that phase when it's not short, but it's not long, either...

I wish there was a better way to clean the RT sponge. have you tried the actual Beauty Blender? does it clean better?

    2. I know, right? No, I haven't tried BB as I am not mentally ready to splurge on a "sponge". I think that's just the reality with the blenders; they are not meant to last that long. But on the other hand, I truly love the application that you get with it. For the moment I am back to my RT buffing brush, does the job until I convince myself to repurchase the blender again. :)

    3. I think using the RT sponge just takes a lot longer than using a brush.. when I'm in a hurry, I'd definitely pick up my RT Expert Face Brush... when I'm feeling like I wanna be extra fancy, I'll pick up the RT sponge and then wash it right away..

  4. I love the beauty sponges but agree they're such a pain to clean! Apparently you can put them in the washing machine though :) your hair looks so healthy!

    1. wouldn't the sponge get ruined in the washing machine? have you tried it?

I don't know how you can tell my hair is healthy with that lighting, but thank you!

  5. I love when a hairdresser actually listens to what you want. Mine always want to chop too much off and it's very depressing. Your's looks so healthy and lush!

    1. she listened to what I want as far as the length, but I listened more to her for her professional opinion. I was glad that she knew what was good for my hair. :)

  6. You look so pretty in these pics! I don't blame you for not wanting to take too much off, long hair certainly suits you!
